Description is exactly
To be a queer clown is to perform. Someone who shares joy and hope with others who need it the most. When I feel gender dysphoria, and I can’t describe the confusion that goes on in my head, the quickest way to find relief is to paint my face. Behind the makeup, I can be who I want to be. Without worrying what gender I am or what my role is meant to be. I feel free and invite stares from strangers, rather than look down and give them mean glares. I get to happily be my silly clown self with no care for judgement. This is what being a queer clown means to me.
