This is what being lesbian means to me. Not being afraid to be me, smiling, laughing inside as my wife sits in the background looking straight thru me as if it was our first date again. I'd rather be wearing jeans and a t-shirt but this day, she asked me to be a bit more feminine for the office headshot. Knowing as soon as the camera stopped clicking, I would be off changing back into my comfy clothes.

My wife is a marriage and family therapist, who owns her our practice called Voyage Counseling. She asked me to join her office for headshots, since I work part time as her HR/Finance/Scheduling Manager. She has one request. "Smile like you did when we first met ten years ago!" Little did I know the photographer was snapping away. This picture captures the love I have for my amazing wife.
