[Artist Statement] Tell us more about your photo by sharing a brief artist statement OR answering this prompt: "This is what being ______ means to me..." (Max. 100 words)
A small backstory, this was a forbidden type of love. We wanted to be together, but there were obstacles keeping us from doing so. We went through ups & downs of passion & pain. But after a few months, the separation became unbearable for us and we decided we were no longer going to let these obstacles hold us back. These photos were taken shortly after that decision. We felt free. We felt that we could finally be ourselves together & be so captivated in our relationship now that nothing was holding us back. I fell in love with her the night these photos were taken, & even though we aren’t together now, we had a beautiful relationship. This shows how much love I saw & felt from her.
[Visual Description] Describe your photo so we can provide alt-text. Example: "Two women holding hands and smiling as they walk in a pride parade, surrounded by rainbow flags."
A romantic visual of a lover being admired by another as the light glows behind casting shadows & highlighting her soft skin with radiance
