[Artist Statement] Tell us more about your photo by sharing a brief artist statement OR answering this prompt: "This is what being ______ means to me..." (Max. 100 words)

Being gay is important to me because it represents the courage to live authentically and love openly after everything I’ve walked through. It’s choosing truth over fear, alignment over survival, and connection over hiding. It reflects my growth, my strength, and my commitment to building a life rooted in honesty and deep emotional safety. Loving a woman isn’t just who I’m with; it’s who I am. It’s freedom, empowerment, and the quiet confidence of finally standing fully in myself without apology.

[Visual Description] Describe your photo so we can provide alt-text. Example: "Two women holding hands and smiling as they walk in a pride parade, surrounded by rainbow flags."

A bold studio portrait of a couple posed on a modern cream loveseat against a neutral backdrop. One partner reclines in a sleek black dress and heels, her red hair flowing as she rests comfortably in her partner’s lap. The other sits relaxed in dark attire with vibrant rainbow suspenders and lace-up boots, gently holding her head. Their contrasting styles—sultry and edgy—create striking balance. The minimalist setting highlights their natural chemistry, confidence, and the effortless blend of strength and tenderness between them.
